Amis - Management Information System: Typical screen view

Flights view

The main window is divided into two parts that represent two synchronized views on the selected information: graphical as analogue and numerical as digital interpretation.

The upper view displays the current flight plan combined with actual operations for a selected fleet. Both types of data are displayed side by side to be compared easily.

The left part of the upper window contains buttons marked with aircraft registrations that designate the corresponding rows. Flights are represented in the form of rectangles containing flight number and airport codes. The colors of these rectangles correspond to various types of operations, like scheduled, charter, and similar.

The content of this window stretches throughout the flight season and can be scrolled continuously. Up to three seasons can be grouped together and accessed by separate tab windows.

The bottom view is constantly synchronized with the information that is displayed in the upper view. This time the information is expressed in the form of numerical table. The columns in this table represent not only physical data on flights, like times, airports, passenger, cargo and load factors but also evaluated data, like fixed and variable costs, revenues, contribution, and net profit expressed in the selected currency.

The results of this data evaluation are also interpreted as statistical bars thus enabling the user to monitor the performance of an operation with a single glance.

Flights dialog

Flight objects can be selected with the mouse using either of both views. The click brings up a dialog with several segments of information on that flight.

The Leg segment shows information on passenger and cargo load combined with eventual delays and their causes.

The Crew segment brings the information on cabin and cockpit crew members planned on the selected flight.

Next two segments appear only when connected to a charter flight. The Client segment displays all clients that have leased a certain quantity of seats under the corresponding contract.

The Documents segment specifies all invoice documents that have been issued under the contract including most important quantities and amounts.

The Evaluation segment displays elementary accounting information like estimated costs and revenues.

Another very important segment is marked as Booking and is available only with scheduled flights that are connected to the reservation system. It brings a detailed specification of the current booking situation in the form of CRS terminal display.

The last segment Notes enables any user to add his remarks to the inspected flight. This comment is later displayed as tool tip that is visible when hovering the mouse over the flight rectangle.

Reports

The user can prepare several reports and attach them to appropriate tabs within the Reports window to be available for later use or quick comparison.

Text reports like daily plan and weekly plan can be generated for current date, week or selected period of time and configured to show detailed data on single operations or summarized data displaying cumulative values. Special evaluation and simulation reports can be produced for subsequent two weeks or other future period to get estimated performance of planned operations and be able to react accordingly on time.

Charts

Several chart reports can be created in no time and attached to appropriate tabs in the Charts window. All these reports can be easily copied or exported for later usage with other applications.
